Willow Street Carnival

Once located in a former wax factory in Chicago's developing Clybourn corridor, the 450-seat Willow Street Carnival cabaret was part of a 250,000-square-feet adaptive-reuse retail development. The master plan included a 350-seat future cabaret for programmed expansion. The W.S.C program included a fully lobby bar, a second service bar/kitchen, production and administrative offices, and a tiered auditorium with a permanently-circuited stage lighting system. The facility was taken over by Remains Theater who produced for two seasons in the space. This critically-acclaimed company adapted the cabaret format to a full production thrust stage in their first permanent home. The theater was demolished as part of a redevelopment project.
